Having started approximately 35 years ago with only one tiny adventurer's hotel, one narrow dirt road, no airport, no services. Today, Bavaro Punta Cana has turned into the most important tourist destination of the Dominican Republic with more than 40 hotels accounting for over 30,000 rooms, 5 golf courses operating (others under construction), several residential projects, its own private power company (assuring permanent electricity) and a tremendous growth in construction and infrastructure with new large and ambitious projects for Bavaro and Punta Cana on the way.

There are very few beach properties left at relatively high prices but there are still excellent opportunities for buying land with a great growth potential as the urbanisation of the Dominican Republic's east coast takes place at an outstanding pace.
